Fr. James Schmitz founded Mobile Gabriel in 1998.  In late 2006 Fr. Schmitz found he was unable to continue this project and his classmate, Fr. David Trask, offered to assume responsibility for Mobile Gabriel.  Both Fr. Trask and Fr. Schmitz Roman Catholic priests of the Diocese of Cleveland, ordained in 1986.
