Help me to count my blessings instead of my woes. Help me to concentrate on helping others instead of giving in to this depression which wants to weigh me down until I don't want to do anything at all even keep living. Pray for me and send me suggestions. (Petition20080731@mobilegabriel.com) My wife can't stand me any more after 24 years!. I am drowning in debt, I have failed my wife and children, I can't pay the bills and I don't know how to pay for my son's school this year. He doesn't know it yet and tomorrow is Aug 1st. He wants to be a priest and I cannot even get him in to Catholic grade school. What am I going to do when college comes? I know these are small things to God but they are weighing me down. Pray that God sends me inspiration and love.

Dear God, thank you for letting me be here today. Please be with my family this day. Please help me to be a better husband and father. Please help my wife to be a better wife and mother. Hear the prayers of all who use this service to pray to you oh Lord, hear our prayers. Please be with our son in Huston help him to turn back to you. Be with our daughter, son in law and grandson as they have separated and are searching for meaning, help them to turn back to you also. Please be with our two younger children, protect them from the world's evil, help them to become priests one day. Please be with my co-workers and supervisors, please be with our priests as they travel and take on new responsibilities. Help Archbishop Daniel in his fight with cancer. Be with our governmental leaders at every level, help them to make decisions based on your love. Lord help us to remember the poor, sick and dying, the underemployed and the unemployed, those in nursing homes, hospitals, jails and those "shut-in's" who cannot leave their house on their own. Oh God, touch my heart this day and let me know what it is that you want me to do for someone else today. Give me the strength to do this day what you would have me to do. Lord, let your peace be with each person who reads this prayer and your Spirit be with all who pray with me in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
